"If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people. "
- Thích Nhất Hạnh
The gencomity website was launched in February 2008 to provide an online database for family research and to preserve a memory of ancestors long gone. It is a private website, set up and maintained by family members, and is intended for the use of anyone who can verify a link to one of the many families in the database.
Please get in touch if you find anyone you recognise, either by email or as a request for membership to the site. Remember to include details of how you are related and any further information that would help identify your position in the family tree.
Membership to the site is free and allows access to much more detailed information. Confidentiality is a major priority and privacy settings ensure that details of everyone born within the last 110 years are hidden from all but their closest relatives (ie up to and including first cousins).
If you have any questions, comments or information please contact David Richmond
